What we collect

  • Job applications. If you apply through the website, we receive your name, your email address, any note you add and the CV you attach.
  • Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies, does not build profiles of individual visitors, and gives us only aggregate figures such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in order to deliver the website and keep it secure.

This website does not set cookies.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to prepare for or carry out an engagement. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
  • To consider your application. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in finding people to work with.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and to keep it secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting the website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf under contract:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website
  • Resend, which delivers form submissions to our inbox
  • Cloudflare, which provides our website analytics
  • Zoho, which hosts our mailbox

Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as we need to deal with them and for up to two years afterwards. If an enquiry leads to an engagement, we keep the related correspondence for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
  • Applications: for up to six months after we have considered them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or agree that we may keep them for longer.
  • Analytics: aggregate figures only, held by Cloudflare as part of the service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of data you gave us in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email info@decryfi.com. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
